Structural Characteristics
Structure and usage characteristics of gate plate
Double sided gate, with symmetrical top and bottom of the gate. Different sizes of drilling tools only require the replacement of rubber sealing half rings and gate pressure blocks, while other parts can be interchangeable; Single sided gate cannot be flipped for use; The shear gate can cut off the wellhead drilling tools and fully seal the wellhead; Variable diameter gate is suitable for sealing drilling tools and casings of different sizes within a certain range.
Characteristics of gate sealing
Floatation of the gate, automatic sand cleaning and well pressure assisted sealing of the gate, automatic centering of the gate, and self propulsion of the gate. The sealing wellhead of the gate blowout preventer needs to have four seals working simultaneously to achieve effective well sealing, namely: sealing between the top of the gate and the shell, sealing between the front end of the gate and the pipe, sealing between the shell and the side door, and sealing between the piston rod and the side door.
Gate locking device
The manual locking device relies on manual rotation of the handwheel to close or lock the gate. When using, it should be noted that the manual locking device is only used to close the gate and cannot open the gate. To open the gate after use, the manual locking device must first be reset and unlocked, and then the gate can be opened by hydraulic pressure.
